Cookie Policy
Effective August 3, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to maintain your session, and to provide information to the site operators.
This Cookie Policy explains how Merkly, operated by Merkly Yazılım ve Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi ("we", "us", or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on the Merkly platform at getmerkly.com.
2. Cookies We Use
We use a minimal set of cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of our platform:
- Session Cookies— These cookies are essential for authenticating your identity and maintaining your logged-in session as you navigate the platform. They are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser or when your session expires.
- CSRF Protection Cookies— These cookies help protect your account against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks by verifying that form submissions and API requests originate from our platform. They are a critical security measure.
The cookies above are first-party and strictly necessary. They cannot be opted out of without breaking core platform functionality.
3. Analytics on Our Public Website
We use Google Analytics on our public website only, to understand which pages people read and whether a visit leads to our Shopify App Store listing. It sets a first-party analytics cookie and collects standard web analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referring site.
It is not loaded inside the Merkly app in your Shopify admin. Your activity while using the app, the products you work on, and the images and copy you generate are never sent to Google Analytics. Usage inside the app is measured in our own database, and that data is not shared with any third-party analytics provider.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied by default under Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookie or identifier is set for you unless you consent. We use no advertising, remarketing, or behavioral profiling cookies anywhere, and we do not use the Meta Pixel or any comparable advertising tag.
4. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these settings in the "Options", "Preferences", or "Settings" menu of your browser. The following links may be helpful:
- Google Chrome— Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox— Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari— Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge— Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data
Please note that disabling or blocking our strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using the Merkly platform, as these cookies are required for authentication and security.
5. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the changes take effect by posting a notice on the platform or sending you an email.
The "Effective" date at the top of this page indicates when this Cookie Policy was last revised.
